I’m so glad to be connecting with you today!
I’m a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach and Registered Dietitian who has held over 5,000 coaching sessions in the last 7+ years, serving high-performing clients from top tech companies in Silicon Valley, serving employees from Facebook and Apple. I have partnered with clients on journeys to navigate the family and work space, improve interpersonal communication, achieve clarity of work and life values, and achieve health goals such as blood lipid, blood sugar, and blood pressure control.
I’m a mom who has not had it easy. My journey here to you has been full of coasts, cliffs, bumps, potholes, and u-turns. My first daughter was born premature, while I was unconscious and hospitalized from a severe car accident. Over the next year, I had an internal battle to relearn how to walk, talk, and eat before she did.
I spent the next few years regaining my independence and confidence, on a path of powerful self-discovery. To give you more insight about the person I was, I was a valedictorian at my high school, so the inner critic had high expectations. I ran, surfed, and did hard yoga poses before the accident; all of that ended when the other car hit mine.
Throughout the next few years after my TBI and brain surgeries, I navigated this challenging space of new motherhood, settling into my capabilities with this new disability, mourning the loss of my able-bodied self, and suffering from the self-comparisons and thoughts of where I “should” be at in terms of my career growth.
Eventually, I found my way back to myself, and when we moved to California, I rediscovered my strengths in Silicon Valley. I learned how to be kinder to the woman that had gone through so much, tamed the impostor syndrome, and applied my holistic views on health to help others.
The conversations that have given me so much fulfillment and meaning have involved those with mothers. Mothers who have difficulty prioritizing themselves, mothers who face challenges making hard decisions between work and family in the workplace, and mothers who work but are still taking on a greater emotional load than is realistic.
I started Mother Maven Coaching for us. The road is difficult, and everyone has a story that needs no judgment or comparison. Whether you are working full-time, part-time, considering new career paths, or juggling the mental and emotional load of raising a thriving family, the goal of this coaching collective is to help mothers attain a life of abundance.
