Breastfeeding Basics & More Class

March 8 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

The most important thing you’ll do as a new parent is feed your baby!

Sat, March 8 – in person
10:30am-12:30pm
at LoveStrong Wellness

Cost:  $25 per person (partners included)

All participants will also receive a free prenatal lactation appointment (to be scheduled after class).  At your prenatal appointment we will review latch and positioning that is tailored to you and your body.  We will measure you for the correct flange size for your pump.  Lastly, we review your medical/health history to identify potential challenges with feeding your infant or low milk supply.

Join us for the fun filled class discussing information you need to feel prepared and confident to feed your newborn.

We will review…

  • How to feed your newborn
  • Breastfeeding education
  • Latch and positioning
  • Combination feeding
  • Bottle feeding
  • Tongue Tie info
  • Formula feeding
  • Choosing how and what to supplement
  • Common challenges
  • Partner Support
  • and more…..

We want you to feel prepared and empowered to make the best decisions for your baby and your family.  Your goals are our goals!  We provide you with all the information you need to make informed decisions about how you’d like to feed your little one.  No judgement, just support!  We welcome everyone interested in learning more.

Instructor Info:  This class is taught by Jen Gathman, nurse practitioner and IBCLC.  Jen was an L&D nurse for 10 years with experience in L&D, postpartum, and NICU.  She became an IBCLC because of her passion for helping families navigate feeding their newborn.  She then became a nurse practitioner to be able to offer additional care and support above and beyond that of an IBCLC.  Her expertise covers everything you need to feel empowered and confident to advocate for your infant feeding goals.
